Welcome to my website! Here, you can find my academic and public work. I am currently finishing my PhD about how we can make sense of Brain–Computer Interface technology for people with Locked-In Syndrome. I work on the intersection of phenomenology, enactivism, neuroethics, critical disability studies, and philosophy of technology. I also work with empirical methods, such as interviewing and focus groups.

Welkom op mijn website! Hier vind je mijn academische en publieke werk. Ik rond op dit moment mijn promotieonderzoek af over hoe we betekenis kunnen geven aan brein–computerinterfaces voor mensen met het locked-in-syndroom. Ik werk op het snijvlak van fenomenologie, enactivisme, neuro-ethiek, critical disability studies en techniekfilosofie. Daarnaast werk ik met empirische methoden, zoals interviews en focusgroepen.

      I studied Brain & Cognitive Sciences and Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, then Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society at the University of Twente. My PhD is hosted at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at UMC Utrecht, with the Ethics & Philosophy of Technology group at TU Delft and Human-Technology Interaction at TU Eindhoven.

      Ik studeerde Brain & Cognitive Sciences en Filosofie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, en daarna Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society aan de Universiteit Twente. Mijn promotieonderzoek is ondergebracht bij de afdeling Neurologie en Neurochirurgie van het UMC Utrecht, samen met de groep Ethics & Philosophy of Technology aan de TU Delft en Human-Technology Interaction aan de TU Eindhoven.
